Davis French and Associates are a team of consultants specialising in insurance related damage assessment and business recovery. We work with insurance claims managers and alongside loss adjusters to investigate the nature and severity of damage caused to businesses after fires, floods, explosions etc.; we work closely with those businesses to minimize the effects of such disasters by giving them guidance on how to deal with the physical aspects of the damage and how to minimize any interruption to their normal business activity. Mick trained as a Regimental Specialist in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, gaining experience in multiple facets of engineering, as well as leading annual regimental military and outdoor pursuits training.
After leaving the Army, he operated as a building contractor for a local authority in the North West of England, before moving into the damage management industry in 2006 with ISS, initially as a site technician. During his time with ISS, Mick gained both his IOSH, and British Damage Management Association (BDMA) technician qualifications. In 2010 he became Property Team leader, specialising in commercial water losses, before becoming a project manager in 2015. During his tenure as project manager at ISS, Mick managed the restoration of multiple major and complex losses nationwide.
Mick brings a wealth of experience in large and complex commercial losses to Davis French & Associates, having been involved in the recovery of over 200 houses for a housing association during the 2015 Cumbria floods, a major cancer research unit, as well as a large food and beverage manufacturing plant.
He joined Davis French & Associates in 2018 as an Associate Consultant, primarily providing services in the North and Midlands.
